Three Score Double Figures, but Women's Basketball Falls to Lebanon Valley

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Three players scored in double figures, but Arcadia women's basketball fell to Lebanon Valley Wednesday night, 66-52. Leading the offensive effort was sophomore Taylor Dunn, who registered 13 points on the night.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • The Knights drop to 8-14 on the year with a conference mark of 3-10.
  • Lebanon Valley advance to 14-9 with a MAC Commonwealth mark of 9-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Knights came out of the gate quickly, taking an 11-9 run over the first 4:30 to pull out in front. The span was led by Dunn who scored seven points and freshman Taylor Fritz who added another four. The Dutchmen took a run of their own before ending the first frame up, 18-15.
  • After the visitors took a sizable lead late into the second frame, the Scarlet and Grey chipped the deficit to 15 at the end of the half with a 5-3 run over the final 2:14. Dunn added three points, with sophomore Jamie Manzo dropping two. Lebanon Valley took a 37-22 lead into the break.
  • Arcadia started the third stanza much like the first, dashing out to a 6-2 run over the first 3:36 to trim the deficit to 11. Three scorers contributed to the run, seeing Fritz, Manzo, and sophomore Sydney Cyr each add two. The Dutchmen would rally, expanding their led, before the Knights took a 5-2 run over the remaining 3:39 of the frame, cutting the visitor's lead to 17, 50-33.
  • Late in the fourth, the Knights tried to rally back, taking an 8-3 lead over a 4:11 span to cut the difference to 15. Fritz notched four points for the Scarlet and Grey. Ultimately, it wasn't enough, as Lebanon Valley finished on top.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • Joining Dunn in double digits was Manzo (11) and Fritz (10).
  • Junior Camille Menns' neared a double-double with eight points and 11 rebounds.
  • Cyr added six points and seven boards.
UP NEXT:
  • The Knights head on the road for a Saturday matinee against conference rival, Alvernia. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
