Men’s Lacrosse Stumbles in Conference Opener Against Messiah

GLENSIDE, Pa – Arcadia men's lacrosse fell to Messiah Thursday night, 11-4. Sophomores Clo Muscara and Tanner Pajakinas led the team with two goals each.

FOR THE RECORD:
  • Arcadia slips to 4-2 on the season, with an 0-1 conference mark.
  • Messiah evens out its record at 4-4, while advancing to 1-0 in the MAC Commonwealth.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Messiah won the first frame, outscoring the Knights 3-1. The lone goal of the quarter came off the stick of Muscara.
  • The Knights tried to battle back in the second and third quarters, however the Falcons outscored them 2-1 in each frame to push the lead to 7-3. Pajakinas had both goals for the Scarlet and Grey.
  • In the final frame, Messiah closed the game as Muscara scored the Knights only goal.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • Senior goalkeeper A.J. Beck tied a career mark with seven ground balls.
  • Junior Parker Hartline tied his career high with three caused turnovers.
GAME NOTES:
  • With his three caused turnovers, Hartline is tied for eighth place all-time with 14.
  • Sophomore Josh Keitz and senior Steve McCrossin are tied for third place all-time with 84 ground balls each.
  • Junior Conor Cunningham sits fifth all-time in ground balls with 81.
  • Pajakinas is now tied for 10th all-time in points with 31.
UP NEXT:
  • The Knights head to Widener on Wednesday April 4 to continue MAC Commonwealth play. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
