HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Scarlet and Grey started hot, plating three runs in the top of the first. Junior Bryan Gillen scored the first run when senior Nick Cardace reached on a throwing error by the third baseman. Three batters later, sophomore Phil Pierfy stepped to the plate for first time this season, sending the first pitch he saw to left field for a two-run double.

  • Arcadia found itself down one heading to the seventh inning, however that didn't last long as freshman Josh Fulmer sent a double to right center to plate classmate Evan Hurst to tie the game at five. Two batters later, Cardace came to the plate with the bases loaded when he was hit by a pitch to bring Fulmer in to put Arcadia up 6-5. Freshman Brett Moyer drew a walk in the next at-bat to plate Gillen, before the bases cleared courtesy of a throwing error by the first baseman one batter later.
