GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's tennis team shut out conference foe Alvernia, 9-0, Tuesday. The Knights claimed wins at first and second doubles and first through fifth singles; No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles were won via forfeit.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• The Scarlet and Grey own a 5-5 overall record and are off to a 2-0 start to conference play.
• The Golden Wolves dropped to 1-6 overall and 0-2 against conference opponents.

WINNERS:

• The No. 1 doubles pair of sophomore Nick Simeone and junior Jaime Zeng Zhu bested Michael Brophy and Jimmy Souder 8-2.
• Junior Keith Rader and sophomore Drake Hanak beat Todd Unger and Craig Grohoski 8-1 at second doubles.
• Simeone downed Brophy in the first singles flight 6-2, 3-6, 10-2.
• Rader cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Souder at No. 2 singles.
• Hanak skated pasted Unger 6-1, 6-2 at third singles.
• Zeng Zhu topped Brad Viggiano 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
• Junior John Zinzer picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win over Grohoski at fifth singles.
