Women’s Tennis Downed at Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Arcadia women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at Lebanon Valley Tuesday. Senior Amanda Shulski picked up the Knights' point at No. 1 singles.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • The Scarlet and Grey are now 4-5 on the year and 2-2 in MAC Commonwealth play.
  • The Dutchmen own an 8-6 mark, and are 4-1 in conference play.
WINNER:
  • Shulski bested Marla Scacchitti 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
CLOSE CALLS:
  • Freshman Tess Weber battled Melanie Haas to three sets, before falling 6-2, 3-6, 10-12.
  • In doubles play, freshman Emily Cruz-Pineda and sophomore Maeghan Myers were edged 8-5 by Elise Hanks-Witaszek and Emily Wilczek in the third flight.

  • The Knights are back in action Thursday afternoon at Albright. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
