GLENSIDE, Pa. – Sophomore Shannon Ryan led the team with four points as No. 4 Arcadia women's lacrosse fell to No. 5 Stevenson in the first round of the MAC Commonwealth Championships Monday evening, 9-7.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• Arcadia sits at 10-8 on the season.
• Stevenson moves to 8-9 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• After the Mustangs took a 2-0 lead, the Knights went on a 4-0 run seeing back-to-back goals from Ryan before senior Allegra Benites and sophomore Jess Kaye found the back of the net. The first half ended with two more goals from Stevenson to knot it at four.
• The teams traded the first two goals of the second half, before Ryan put the Scarlet and Grey on top, 6-5. The visitors responded with four straight, ultimately closing out the game. Senior Marie Brockman scored with 7:19 left, however the Knights couldn't break through. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Ryan finished the day with four points, three goals, one assists, three draw controls, two ground balls and two turnovers.
• Both Benites and Kaye registered two points, each scoring one and assisting on one.
• Sophomore Molly Naylor made nine saves in the loss.
