ARLINGTON, Va. – Sophomore
Austin Braas led the Knights with 12 kills, however men's volleyball fell to No. 6 Marymount Friday evening, 3-1 (22-25, 28-26, 15-25, 16-25).
FOR THE RECORD
- The Knights dropped to 16-11 on the season.
- The Saints improved to 21-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arcadia grabbed an early 5-3 lead in the first set. After the nationally ranked Saints gain the lead. the Knights pulled within two, 24-22, but fell short.
- The second set was a slugfest that featured 14 ties. Marymount went up 25-24, but Arcadia scored on the next possession to continue the game. The Knights finished the set on a 3-0 run.
- The hosts captured the final two sets of the match.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- Braas hit .360, adding one solo block and one block assist on the night.
- Sophomore Robie Moctezuma registered five kills, hitting .556.
- Sophomore Zayne George dove for seven digs.
- Freshman Anthony Devantier collected 30 assists, while contributing three kills and four digs.
- Freshman Quinn Baily added nine kills, two service aces, one solo block, one block assist and four digs.
