ANNVILLE, Pa. – Junior Kristin Cancelliere led the No. Arcadia softball team to a win over No. 5 Alvernia Friday afternoon, 4-0. The Knights extend their win streak to 16 games.
 
FOR THE RECORD:

• Arcadia moves to 25-12 on the season.
• Alvernia dips to 23-12-1 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Cancelliere started things off in the first inning, drilling a solo shot to left field to put the Knights on the board, 1-0. Three batters later, freshman Alexis Burge singled through the left side to plate junior Jackie Bilotti. Senior Nicole Iasiello was up next, grounding out, however driving in sophomore Hunter Schantz.
• Arcadia finished its scoring in the second when Cancelliere reached on a fielder's choice, scoring sophomore Ashley Eckett from third.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Cancelliere finished 2-for-4, with the solo shot and two RBIs.
• Freshman Alex DeStefano and Burge joined the multi-hit parade, each going 2-for-3. Burge added an RBI to her stat line.
• Senior Amanda Hess was 1-for-2 with a triple. 

INSIDE THE CIRCLE:

• Sophomore Kylee Schwind pitched an absolute gem, going the complete game, allowing just two hits. She registered one strikeout on the day.

• Arcadia will take on No. 2 Messiah Saturday at 11 a.m. from LVC Softball Park in Annville, Pa.
