ANNVILLE, Pa. – Eight student-athletes have been named to the Spring Academic All-MAC Teams, the conference office announced Wednesday. In order to qualify for the teams, a student-athlete must possess a minimum GPA of 3.2 and must remain eligible through the conclusion of the season. Voting for this award will be based on 50% academic excellence and 50% athletic prowess by the conference sports information directors.
Paving the way for the Knights was the MAC Commonwealth Champion baseball team, landing four guys on the squad. Seniors
Mike Boulanger and
Nick Cardace joined juniors
Sean Carew and
Bryan Gillen on the team. All four played a crucial role in aiding the Scarlet and Grey to back-to-back MAC Commonwealth titles, while also earning All-MAC Commonwealth recognition.
Next up was men's volleyball with two selections to the team with sophomore
Austin Braas and freshman
Anthony Devantier. Both Braas and Devantier helped the team advance to the MAC Championship match against Stevenson in just the programs second year of competition. Braas was tabbed First Team All-MAC and Devantier earned Second Team.
Hosting one student-athlete each are men's golf with senior
Kyle Henofer and softball with junior
Jackie Bilotti. Henofer placed third at the MAC Championship, earning First Team All-Conference honors, while Bilotti is fresh off a MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year campaign, earning First Team All-Conference honors.
