Gabby Sedares scored a pair of goals and the Arcadia field hockey team scored three unanswered goals to pick up a 3-1 win at Swarthmore on Sunday afternoon.

Ali Barrata gave the host team a 1-0 lead under 10 minutes into the contest before the Knights (1-1) answered in a big way.

Isabelle Houser converted following a scrum in front of the net to tie the game just 2:05 later, and Sedares' first goal, off a feed from Houser, gave the Knights a 2-1 lead just before the break. Houser fed Sedares once again on a penalty corner at the 51:07 mark for an insurance goal and a 3-1 lead.

IN GOAL:
Allison Nikolaus started for AU and played the first 11:39, allowing one goal with one save, before giving way to
Catherine Bergmueller. Bergmueller picked up the win by not allowing a goal over the final 58:21 and making one save. Zelda Bank started for Swarthmore and allowed all three goals while making eight saves. Aron Lankford relieved her with 17:50 to play.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights launched 14 shots to Swarthmore's 11, and held a 12-4 advantage in shots in the first half … Penalty corners were 11-8 in favor of the Knights, though Swarthmore led 7-3 in the second half in its effort to make up the deficit … For Houser, this marked the second year in a row that she has notched two assists against Swarthmore, and it is also the second year in a row that Sedares has scored twice against Swarthmore.
