GLENSIDE, Pa. -- The Arcadia field hockey team opened MAC Commonwealth play with a 2-0 win over Albright on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavillion.

The Knights improved to 5-2 on the season and 1-0 in league play while the Lions slipped to 3-5 and 0-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.

Michaela Ferlow got the Knights on the board first just 2:52 in the contest when she tipped a shot from
Sydney Cyr past the Lions' Aileen Taylor. Ferlow's shot was one of 12 that AU took in the first 35 minutes.

In the second half,
Lindsay Bechtold scored an insurance goal with under seven minutes to play, deflecting in a shot off the stick of
Carly Flickinger.

IN GOAL:
Ashton Evans played all 70:00 for the Knights and made two saves to pick up her second win of the season. Taylor made six saves for the Lions.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights held a 12-4 edge in shots in the first half and 18-10 for the game … There was a total of nine cards in the game, five on the Knights and four on the Lions … Arcadia also boasted a 13-5 edge in penalty corners.
