OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Arcadia women's soccer team shutout Stevenson 2-0 to open MAC Commonwealth play Saturday evening at Mustang Stadium.
The Knights improve to 6-2-2 (1-0 MACC) while Stevenson falls to 1-6-2 (0-1 MACC)
Erin Vander Plaat scored in the 14th minute on a free kick, giving the Knights the early 1-0 lead.
Arcadia took the one goal advantage into the second half when
Bridget Sway added an insurance marker on a penalty kick, giving the Knights a 2-0 lead. The two goal cushion would be enough, as Arcadia held on for the shutout.
IN GOAL: Brianna Williams made one save for the Knights and Keegan Caffrey made four saves for the Mustangs.
