OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Arcadia women's swimming team defeated Stevenson, 170-84 on Saturday afternoon.
Madison McKay paced the Knights by winning three events. McKay won the 50-yard freestyle (25.64), the 100-yard freestyle (57.29) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.73).
Megan Hupp was first for the Knights in the 1,000-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 11:04.51. Hupp was also first in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 5:28.18. Along with her two first place finishes, Hupp finished in third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 58.27.
Hupp was also apart of the winning relay team in the 200-yard freestyle relay. She was joined by McKay,
Claire Hamilton and
Bailey Babarsky. The four finished with a time of 1:44.89.
Hamilton also had a strong showing in the individual events. She was first for Arcadia in the 200-yard freestyle, with a time of 2:03.64. She also posted a second place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in 58.07.
Kenzie Myer also posted two top-three finishes for AU on the day. Myer was second in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:06.51. She also finished second in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing in 2:26.28.
Rachel Samson also had a pair of top-three finishes for the Knights. Samson was second in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall in 2:28.84. She was also second in the 100 yard fly, touching the wall in 1:06.71.
Taylor Byers also finished in the top-three in three events for the Knights, Byers was first in the 200 breast (2:36.36), third in the 100 breast (1:13.03) and third in the 200 IM (2:26.42).
Arcadia is off until the MAC Championships, which take place from Feb. 14-17 in York, Pa.
