Ferlow Nets Overtime Winner to Lift Field Hockey Over Albright

READING, Pa. - Michaela Ferlow's game-winning goal eight minutes into the first overtime period lifted the Arcadia University field hockey team to a pivotal, 2-1 victory at Albright Saturday afternoon to even the Knights' MAC Commonwealth record at 2-2 for the season. The Knights trailed the Lions by a goal coming out of the half, but Isabelle Houser evened the game at one-all in the opening minutes of the second half while the Arcadia defense limited the hosts to just two shots in the second half - including zero in the fourth quarter - to send the game to overtime.

Ashton Evans held the Lions scoreless over the final 60-plus minutes of the game to pick up the victory in the cage.

Ferlow's goal was her sixth of the season to tie for the team lead, while extending her team-leading point total to 15.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Lions were quick to strike first with the game's first goal seven minutes to hold an early advantage Saturday, while holding the Knights scoreless despite logging six shots.

-Albright went on to take its one-goal lead into the break, but Houser provided the equalizer nearly seven minutes into the third quarter after her initial shot was blocked. The Arcadia defense held strong for the entirety of the second half to send the contest to overtime.

-Evans came up with three huge saves on Albright opportunities to keep the Knights alive, allowing Ferlow to find the back of the cage off a penalty corner to send the Knights home with a thrilling overtime victory, 2-1.
