PREVIEW: Women's Volleyball Set to Host MAC Commonwealth Semifinal Wednesday

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball opens play in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament Wednesday night as the second-seeded Knights host third-seeded Messiah from Alumni Gymnasium with a trip to the conference title match on the line.

#4/#5 Play-In (Nov. 4): #4 Lycoming 3, #5 Lebanon Valley 1 (Final)
Semifinal 1 (Nov. 6): #4 Lycoming at #1 Stevenson, 7 p.m. 
Semifinal 2 (Nov. 6): #3 Messiah at #2 Arcadia, 7 p.m.
Final (Nov. 9): TBA vs. TBA 
*The location of each game will be hosted by the higher seed*

16-13, 7-1 MAC Commonwealth
-The Knights defeated Messiah on the road in their regular season matchup, 3-0, which marked the final win of a season-high six-match win streak at the time.
-Arcadia enters Wednesday night's match with an 8-3 record at Alumni Gymnasium this season.
-The Knights had five players named All-MAC Commonwealth Tuesday morning, as Shannon Ryan and Maddie Sehrt were named First-team selections while Emily Eng, Julia Paliwodzinski and Lauren Enfield were Second-team honorees.
-Sehrt finished her junior season among the top of the conference leaderboards, ranked second in hitting percentage (.389), ninth in kills (253), and second in solo blocks (30). Sehrt also tied for the conference lead in total blocks with 92, which currently ranks third among the Knights' all-time, single-season leaders.
-With a win Wednesday, the Knights will advance to their third-consecutive MAC Commonwealth Championship match. The previous two came against top-seeded Stevenson.

-The Falcons enter the postseason riding a nine-match win streak while only dropping two sets along the way.
-Messiah's lone two losses in MAC Commonwealth play came at the hands of the tournament's top two seeds - Stevenson and Arcadia - but rallied back to win five-straight conference matches down the stretch to secure the third seed.
-Messiah finished the regular season with a 7-3 record in its ten road matches, including a 3-1 mark in MAC Commonwealth contests.
-First-team All-MAC Commonwealth selection Mary Underman enters Wednesday night's match ranked in the top-five in the conference in hitting percentage (.385), kills (331), service aces (44), and blocks (75).
