STEVENSON, MD. – The Arcadia University women's basketball team defeated Stevenson University, 54-52, on the road for the first time since 2010.
Taylor Dunn led the Knights with a game-high 17 points, while
Julia Makowski had 14 points.
A senior, Dunn is nine points away from the 1,000 career points milestone.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Sidney Barrer connected on a three-point play to give the Knights a 9-8 lead with 3:03 remaining in the opening stanza. The Mustangs ended the quarter on a 7-2 run to pull ahead by four points.
- Stevenson took their largest lead of the afternoon on a three-pointer to expand their lead to eight points with 8:12 remaining in the second quarter. The Knights answered back with a 10-3 run towards the latter half of the stanza. Makowski sparked the rally with a three-pointer, while Dunn had five points during the Knights run to decrease their halftime deficit to one point, 26-25.
- Dunn gave the Knights their first lead since the opening quarter with a jumper to open the second half.
Holly Daveski and Makowski added layups to cap-off a 6-0 run to start the third stanza. However, the Mustangs ended the quarter with a two-point advantage, 40-38, following a 7-3 run in the final four minutes.
- The Knights regained the lead on a
Sydney Cyr three-pointer with 4:44 remaining in regulation. However, following a couple lead changes the Mustangs knotted the game at 52-52 on a three-pointer. With 1:05 remaining in regulation, Dunn hit the biggest shot of the night for Arcadia with a jumper to seal the victory for the Knights.

- The contest was tightly-contested with 13 lead changes and six ties. Neither team held a lead greater than single-digits.
- The Knights limited their turnovers to a season-low seven, while the Mustangs had 16 turnovers. Arcadia's previous low was 16 turnovers at Wesley College (12/1).
- Arcadia only had five attempts from the free throw line, while Stevenson earned 20 attempts.
