PHILADELPHIA – Senior guard Josh Scott of the Arcadia University men's basketball team was honored at the Philadelphia Area Small College Coaches Association luncheon Tuesday with the Sam Cozen Award.
 
The award, named after Sam Cozen, the longtime head basketball coach at Drexel University and Overbrook High School, is presented to seniors in recognition of their performance on the court and in the classroom.
 
Scott, who becomes the second Knight to be honored this season, has helped lead the Knights to a 20-4 overall record thus far and a 14-1 mark in conference play. A native of Darby, Pa., Scott is currently third on the team in scoring at 11.2 points per game, and leads the squad with 69 assists (2.9 apg) and 27 steals (1.1 spg).
 
Scott became the 10th Knight to reach the 1,000-point mark last season and is currently ranked third all-time at Arcadia with 1,275 career points.
 
The 14 wins in conference play set an Arcadia single-season record since joining the MAC Commonwealth, and the 20 overall wins are the most in program history. The Knights have secured the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth Championships and will host a semifinal contest next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
 
Arcadia wraps up regular season play on Saturday at Hood beginning at 3 p.m.
