FREDERICK, Md. -- The Arcadia women's basketball team secured a home game in the first round of the MAC Commonwealth Championships with a 68-53 win at Hood on Saturday afternoon.

The Knights, who wrap up the regular season with a 12-13 overall record and a 9-7 mark in league play, earned the No. 4 seed in MAC Commonwealth Championships and will play host to No. 5 Lebanon Valley on Monday at 7 p.m.

Taylor Dunn led the Knights with 19 points, including a 4 of 6 showing from three-point range. She also stuffed the stat sheet with six rebounds, four blocks, three assists and three steals.
Camille Menns added 14 points and seven rebounds, and
Taylor Fritz came off the bench to score 13 points and pull down five rebounds in 22 minutes.

The Knights raced out to a 21-9 lead after the first quarter, hitting on 10 of their first 19 shots from the floor and holding the Blazers to 4 of 13 shooting with three turnovers. Dunn and Menns each scored six points in the opening frame, shooting a combined 6 for 9.

Dunn was a perfect 3 for 3 from the floor in the second quarter, helping keep the Blazers at bay. Hood scored 19 points in the second quarter, and forced five AU turnovers, in trying to get back in the game. Any comeback was snuffed out as the Knights outscored Hood 30-25 in the second half to get to nine conference wins, a single-season record for the Knights.

For the game, the Knights shot 51.0 percent (25-49) from the floor, while holding the Blazers to 34.5 percent (20-58). Arcadia was also 14 of 26 from the line, while Hood shot just 11 free throws (7-11). Arcadia also held a 43-27 advantage in rebounding.
