GLENSIDE, Pa. -- Arcadia's women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-3 decision visiting Swarthmore on Thursday evening at Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavilion.

The Knights are now 0-3 on the season and Swarthmore improved to 2-0 in 2019.

Julia Imbert,
Michaela Ferlow and
Emily Covert all scored for the Knights as Swarthmore limited AU to just 10 shots in the game. The Garnet took 36 shots and forced 23 turnovers in the contest.

The Garnet scored the first four goals of the contest, taking a 4-0 lead by the 18:13 mark of the first half. Imbert got AU on the board at the 15:46 mark, and after a pair of Swarthmore goals made it 6-1, Ferlow answered to pull the Knights within 6-2.

Swarthmore took a 7-2 lead on Tess Wild's goal with 3:14 to play, but Covert answered made it 7-3 with 19 seconds left in the half. Swarthmore outscored AU 7-0 in the second half.

Veandra Selby came up with 14 saves for the Knights and has posted a .533 save percentage this season. Betsy Cohen made six saves for the Garnet.

Nicole Kress had two caused turnovers and three ground balls for the Knights. Imbert added four draw controls, and
Diana Perry added a pair of ground balls.

The Knights are back in action on Saturday at Marywood beginning at 1 p.m.
