DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- The Arcadia men's lacrosse team came up just short in a 6-5 loss at Delaware Valley on Friday night in the battle for the Bucks Mont Hammer.

Brandon Keller's goal at 10:26 of the fourth quarter proved to be the game winner for Del Val, spoiling late rally from AU. Trailing 4-3 midway through the third period,
CJ Sherlock and
Josh Keitz scored roughly a minute apart to give the Knights a 5-4 lead with 5:29 left in the quarter.

The Aggies tied the contest with 1:17 left in the third, then scored the lone goal of the fourth to eke out the win.

Arcadia outshot the Aggies 56-36, including a 30-20 edge in shots on goal, but was just 1 for 5 with a man advantage, while the Aggies were 3 for 9. Delaware Valley goalie Nic Brown made 25 saves, while AU's
Timmy Fyock came up with 14 saves for the Knights.

Brady Manion led AU with a pair of goals and added three ground balls. Keitz scored once and picked up six ground balls.
Sean Connolly caused a pair of turnovers and had four ground balls.

Jordan Smith led the Aggies with four points (3g/1a) and Matt Waibel scored once with a pair of assists. Sean Mylod had a pair of caused turnovers and picked up five ground balls.

The Knights are back in action on Wednesday when they host Drew at 4 p.m.
