GLENSIDE, Pa. -- The 13th-ranked Arcadia men's volleyball team rolled to a 3-1 win over Messiah and a 3-0 sweep of Elizabethtown on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gymnasium.

The Knights improved to 18-4 on the season (7-0 MAC Commonwealth), setting a single-season record for wins in the process. In just their third year as a varsity program, the Knights surpassed last year's 17 wins, needing just 22 matches to do it, and have asserted themselves as one of the nation's best, having been in and around the national rankings for much of the season.

Arcadia 3, Messiah (22-25, 25-15, 25-14, 25-15)
After hitting just .185 as a team in the first set and falling behind 1-0, Arcadia hit no lower than .281 in any of the final three in pulling away from the Falcons and posting a convincing win.
Quinn Baily led AU with 15 kills and added 12 digs while hitting .379.

Austin Braas each added nine kills. Manley chipped in seven digs and four blocks, and Braas came up with eight blocks in the match.
Anthony Devantier had 39 assist and four digs.

Trailing 1-0 after dropping the first set, the Knights took an early 12-6 lead in the second. After the Falcons pulled to within four at 16-12, Arcadia used a 9-3 run to close out the set and even the match at 1-1. Tied 8-8 in the second, it was a 12-3 burst that gave the Scarlet & Grey a 20-11 lead and propelled AU to a 2-1 lead.

The Knights finished strong in the third as well, using a 7-0 run to extend a 17-14 lead to 24-14.
Collin Nissley's kill sealed the win for the Knights.

Arcadia 3, Elizabethtown 0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-19)
The Knights held the Blue Jays to -.011 hitting on the day and totaled nine service aces in a convincing win.
Amadeus Cannon led the Knights with six kills,
Evan Misal, Braas and Nissley added five apiece. Braas chipped in three more blocks, as did Cannon, and
Alvyn Abraham led AU with 29 assists and added five digs.
Aaron Knotts came up with six digs.

The Knights used a 9-0 run in the first to break an 8-8 tie and assume a 17-8 lead in setting the tone early. They opened the second with an 8-3 surge and saw their lead grow to 16-7 before the Blue Jays responded with a 6-0 burst to pull to within 16-13. Nissley and Cannon recorded kills to quell the run the Knights scored six of the final seven points to take a 2-0 lead.

In the third, the Knights took an 11-5 lead then led by at least four the rest of the way. As a team, AU hit .244 and totaled nine blocks to just five for the Blue Jays.

Arcadia is back on the court on Saturday when they host Stevenson and Misericordia in a trimatch beginning at 1 p.m.
