GLENSIDE, Pa. -- The Arcadia women's lacrosse team was defeated by Cabrini, 19-5, on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavilion.

Cabrini (5-4) used an 8-0 run in the first half to break a 1-1 tie and take a 9-1 lead with 18:13 left in the first half. The Knights (0-7) answered with back-to-back goals from
Jess Kaye to pull within 9-3 at 10:48.

The Cavaliers closed out the first 30 minutes with a 5-1 scoring run to assume a 14-4 lead at the break.
Emily Covert scored the final goal of the first half for the Scarlet & Grey.
Nicole Kress registered the final tally for the Knights, scoring unassisted with 14:33 to play.

Veandra Selby made 18 saves in the cage for AU as the Knights were outshot 47-12. Sam Hamalak played the first 44:45 in goal for Cabrini and made two saves with four goals allowed.

Kaye finished with two goals, three draw controls and a caused turnover for AU. Selby caused three turnovers and came up with four ground balls, and
Michaela Ferlow added six ground balls, a pair of caused turnovers and one draw control.

Avery Murphy led the Cavaliers with five goals and one assist for six points. She also had eight draw controls, three caused turnovers and nine ground balls. Shea Neary contributed seven draw controls, five caused turnovers and chipped in three goals.

Arcadia will host Albright on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
