Women's Lacrosse Falls at Stevenson

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – A flood of goals in the first half led Stevenson to a 22-4 over the Arcadia women's lacrosse team Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium.
 
The Mustangs moved to 13-3 and 7-0 in the MAC-Commonwealth on the year on the back of 11 goals in each half. The Mustangs tallied four goals in the first eight minutes to open the game before the Knights answered. AU found the back of the cage at the 21:15 mark as Nicole Kress passed to Jess Kaye for the Knights' first score.
 
From there, Stevenson rattled off five consecutive goals until Michaela Ferlow stopped the streak at 8:31 on an assist from Julia Imbert.
 
The Mustangs tallied two more goals to hold a 11-2 advantage at the break.
 
Three more scores out of halftime pushed the advantage to 14-2. Imbert got the Knights back on the board with an unassisted goal at 23:56.
 
Stevenson outscored the Knights 8-1 in the final 18:42 minutes of play with the lone Knights' goal coming at the 6:33 mark on an unassisted goal by Kaye.
 
Arcadia was outshot 40-14 and outdrew, 16-12 on the day.
 
Kaye's two goals led the offensive output for the Knights as Imbert and Kress each tallied an assist.
 
Veandra Selby played 48:32 minutes in between the pipes, making five saves, before being relieved by Lauren Bunch for the final 11:28. Bunch made three saves in net.
 
The Knights will play at home against Lebanon Valley to close out the regular season on April 23. First draw is set for 7 p.m.
