Men's Lacrosse Sets Wins Record with 14-6 Victory at Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, Pa. -- Joe Pedisich scored a career-high six goals, and the Arcadia men's lacrosse team cruised to a 14-6 win at Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon.

The Knights improved to 7-5 on the season (2-1 MAC Commonwealth), setting a school-record for wins in a season. Lebanon Valley fell to 6-6 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Pedisich, who has now scored 21 goals in the last five games since being inserted into the starting lineup, racked up six on the day, including three in a first half that saw AU outscored the Dutchmen 6-2.

The Knights' four-goal lead at the break quickly doubled as AU outscored LVC 5-1 in the third quarter. Wesley Sporer scored 47 seconds into the period, and Pedisich scored just 1:05 after that to make it 8-2. Clo Muscara scored off a feed from Brady Manion with 10:14 left that made it 9-2. Lebanon Valley scored its lone goal of the quarter at the 7:26 mark, and the Scarlet & Grey got goals from Pedisich and Manion to close the period and take an 11-3 lead into the fourth.

For the game, shots were even at 41 apiece, but the Knights got some stellar goalkeeping from Grant Palmer, who made 17 saves. It is the fifth time the freshman has made at least 17 saves in a game and his save percentage now stands at .646 on the season with a GAA of 8.64.

The Knights also held a 13-11 advantage in faceoffs and picked up 35 ground balls to 29 for the Dutchmen. Each team was 1 for 5 with man advantage.

Manion finished with six points on two goals and four assists. Muscara contributed three goals and an assist. Philip Hane was 11 for 16 at the faceoff X while picking up five ground balls. Josh Keitz also had five ground balls, and Joe Trovato caused three turnovers.

The Knights are at Messiah on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
