GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball team swept the Knights Invitational with victories over Hunter College, 3-0, and Salisbury University, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon. The Knights took care of Hunter in straight sets, but needed a wild comeback to top Salisbury in the weekend finale. Arcadia earned their fifth straight victory to improve to 9-6 overall on the season.

Lauren Enfield paced the Knights attack with 11 kills, while
Kaylee Bumpus and
Allison Elechko each tallied nine.
Olivia Hess collected a game-high 27 assists, whileÂ
Jazlyn Surell added 12 assists.
Emily Eng had a solid defensive performance with 14 digs and
Michelle Frank led the team with four blocks.
- Arcadia dominated the first set with a 25-14 victory after maintaining a lead from start to finish. Hunter fought back and kept things competetitive in the final two sets, but fell to the Knights 25-18 and 25-21, respectively.Â

Shannon Ryan had an impressive offensive showing with a season-best 25 kills.
Maddie Sehrt and
Julia Paliwodzinski put together a stellar defensive night with six blocks, while Eng had a team-high 24 digs. Paliwodzinski also shined offensively with a season-high 56 assists.Â
- The Knights found themselves in an early hole after dropping two of the opening three sets. The Knights were edged out 25-20 in the first set, but responded with a 25-18 victory in the following set. Arcadia and Salisbury remained neck-and-neck for the majority of the third set, but the Sea Gulls pulled away with a late 3-0 rally to distance themselves from the Knights. After another competitive battle, Arcadia prolonged the match with a 25-20 victory in the fourth set.Â
- Arcadia grinded out a gutsy victory in the final set. After falling behind 3-0, the Knights strung together five straight points to capture much-needed momentum. Salisbury then pulled away once more with five consecutive points to take a 10-7 lead, but the Knights wouldn't go away. Arcadia and Salisbury traded blows and eventually tied the game at 21. The Knights took the 22-21 advantage on a Sehrt kill and dealt the final blow with a Sea Gull attack error.
