Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Hoffman Nets OT Game-Winner to Beat Montclair

GLENSIDE, Pa. - With the game scoreless in the first overtime, Mackenzie Hoffman sent the Knights home victorious with a game-winning goal in the 91st minute to defeat Montclair State University, 1-0, Friday night. After a rip from Erin Vander Plaat, Hoffman fought for the rebound and poked the ball past the Red Hawks goalkeeper for the game's only goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the absence of Brianna Crowley, wide back Jules Oswald shifted to center along with Bridget Sway to shut down opposing attackers. The Knights defense has allowed just one goal in its first four contests.

- Reigning MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week, Brianna Williams recorded her second consecutive shutout with three saves. Williams made a key diving stop in the 54th minute on a rip to the near post from just outside the box. She lowered her goals against average to 0.24 with a .923 saves percentage.

- The Knights controlled the pace of play, outshooting the Red Hawks, 17-4. Arcadia narrowly missed on a few scoring chances during regulation, but were able to build a consistent attack and come through with the win in overtime.
