CHESTER, Pa. - Despite 21 second-half points from
Da'Kquan Davis, the Arcadia University men's basketball team was unable to overcome 16-point halftime deficit at Widener Wednesday night, who entered the night unbeaten in MAC Commonwealth contests and receiving votes in the latest national top-25 poll.
Steve Pendleton joined Davis in double-figures with 16 points, marking the fourth time in the last five games the senior has reached double-figure scoring.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Pride jumped out to an early first-half lead despite the Knights shooting over 50 percent from the field (13-24) in the opening 20 minutes. The Knights were able to cut the deficit down to five at the 7:18 mark behind a
Kishan Patel three and jumpers from Davis and Pendleton, but Widener ultimately took a 16-point lead into halftime, 47-31.
-Arcadia was unable to get the deficit under double-figures in the second half despite Davis' 5-of-8 performance from the field and 11-of-14 showing from the free throw line paired with nine and seven points from Pendleton and
Justin Money, respectively.

-Arcadia struggled from beyond the arc, shooting at a 23.8 percent (5-21) clip.
-Widener caused 13 Knight turnovers while committing only nine of its own.
-Arcadia was narrowly out-rebounded, 33-30.
