GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team was held in check offensively Saturday night at Messiah, falling to the Falcons in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth action, 55-35.
Taylor Dunn led the Knights with nine points, while Sydney Barrer logged a game-high ten boards for Arcadia.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Messiah raced out to an eight-point lead in the opening quarter that the Knights were able to cut down to three at the 2:35 mark of the opening quarter thanks to a
Holly Daveski lay-in and a pair of free throws at the line from Dunn. The Falcons ultimately took an eight-point lead into the second quarter.
-The Falcons were able to extend their lead into double-figures in the second quarter despite four points from Dunn in the quarter as the Knights trailed by 11 at the half,
-Arcadia was outscored by 11 in the third quarter, allowing the Falcons to further extend their lead heading into the final ten minutes. The Knights' comeback bid fell short in the final quarter despite outscoring the Falcons, 14-12.

-The Knights shot 25.6 percent (11-43) from the floor, while Messiah shot 38.1 percent (24-63).
