Women's Basketball Falls to Lebanon Valley in Season Finale, 54-42

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team saw its season come to and Saturday at Lebanon Valley, falling to the Dutchmen in the regular season finale, 54-42. Taylor Fritz and Julia Makowski led the Knights with 11 points each, while Sydney Cyr pitched in a team-high eight boards in her final collegiate game. Taylor Dunn capped her career with eight points and three rebounds.

The Knights finish the 2019-20 season with a 12-13 overall record and a 7-9 mark in the MAC Commonwealth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights started off strong to take a eight-point lead at the 2:15 mark of the first quarter as Makowski netted eight points in the first ten minutes of action. Lebanon Valley put together a 7-0 run to the end of the quarter to shrink the Arcadia lead to one, 14-13, at the end of one.

-The two sided stayed stride-for-stride with each other in the second quarter, but a 6-2 run over the final three minutes of the half - capped off by a Haley Still lay-in on the final possession - vaulted the Knights to a five-point lead at the break, 26-21.

-Arcadia fell victim to a third-quarter that saw the Dutchmen outscore the Knights, 20-11, allowing Lebanon Valley to take its first lead of the afternoon, 41-37. The offensive struggles continued for the Knights in the fourth, resulting in a 54-42 defeat on the final day of the season.

-Lebanon Valley had 28 attempts from the free throw line, opposite Arcadia's nine.
