AMBLER. Pa. - The Arcadia University baseball team's late rally fell short as the lost to Misericordia, 5-3, on Tuesday afternoon.
Alex Madera led the Knights with two hits and a run scored, while
Trey Obarowski and
Avy Bermudez drove home runs for the Knights.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Hunter Curley tossed two scoreless innings with two strikeouts to open the contest. The Cougars then responded with one run in each of the next four innings to jump out to a 4-0 lead after six innings.
- Madera opened the seventh inning with a double down the left field line. Obarowski then singled through the right side to drive home the Knights' first run of the afternoon. Later in the inning, Bermudez had a pinch hit double to left center field to drive home Obarowski. Bermudez then came home to score on an errant throw from the pitcher to first base, 4-3.
- The Knights threatened in the eighth inning after
Tyler Wisnewski opened the inning with a single up the middle. The runner advanced to scoring position with one out following a sacrafice bunt, but was stranded on base after consecutive ground outs.
- The Cougars added an insurance run in the ninth inning, before sending the Knights down in order to end the game.
