Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Muscara's Record-Setting Performance Leads Men's Lacrosse in Rout of Manhattanville

GLENSIDE, Pa. - Clo Muscara led the Arcadia University men's lacrosse team's offensive barrage Wednesday afternoon against Manhattanville with a program-record ten goals - besting the previous record of eight he set in the season-opener - to lead the Knights to a 20-6 victory over the visiting Valiants. The Knights had six different goal-scorers on the afternoon, as Ryan Anderson netted four and Brady Manion added three to go along with four assists for a seven-point day.

Josh Keitz caused a game-high five turnovers and picked up eight ground balls in the effort.

Muscara also tied the program's single-game record with ten points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Wednesday afternoon's contest was all Arcadia from the opening faceoff, as the Knights jumped out to a four-goal lead in the first eight-plus minutes. Anderson started the scoring at the 12:40 mark before Muscara tallied two and Joe Pedisich netted his second of the season. Manhattanville netted its first two of the game out of a timeout to cut the Knight lead in half, but Muscara and Anderson went back-to-back in the final four minutes to regain the four-goal advantage before the end of the first.

-Muscara netted three of the Knights' five second-quarter tallies - as Anderson and Brian Albertsen scored one each - while Timmy Fyock limited the Valiants to only two scores in the quarter to send Arcadia to an 11-4 halftime lead.

-The Knights blew the game open with five more goals in the third while shutting out the Manhattanville attack, as Manion scored twice within a minute of each other before completing his hat trick at the 2:46 mark of the quarter with an assist from Keitz. Muscara tied his previous program-record of eight goals with just under a minute remaining in the third.

-Muscara broke the program record early in the fourth quarter with a pair of scores in the first four minutes - one of which was man-up goal - before Justin Brown capped off the effort with his first goal of the season late in the fourth.
