WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team dropped its conference-opener, 2-1, to Lycoming on Saturday afternoon.  

The Warriors had a four-minute spell in the first half where they scored both of their goals. The Knights pushed hard in the second half, but only managed to find the back of the net once in the defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The Knights had a strong start to the match as they recorded the first three shots on goal of the game.  

• Lycoming scored its first goal in the 32nd minute, and then found the back of the net again in the 36th minute to take a 2-0 lead.  

• A majority of the offensive action was created by Arcadia in the second half. Caroline Weirich scored the lone Knights goal in the 82nd minute.  

• The Knights outshot Lycoming 17-9 in the match, including an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal.
