COLMAR, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's ice hockey team dropped its afternoon contest to Aurora, 6-3, on Saturday at Hatfield Ice Arena.  

First-year forward James Spaargaren scored the first goal in program history in the first period to tie the game at one. Dylan Infantino had the assist on the history-making goal.  

Goaltender Lucas Brine made 38 saves in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Aurora opened the scoring in the first period before Spaargaren tied the score at one. The teams entered the first intermission tied at one. 

• Spaargaren scored his second of the game while Arcadia was shorthanded. Kyle Peters found Spaargaren breaking out of the zone and the first-year forward found the back of the net to give the Knights a 2-1 lead.  

• Aurora scored a shorthanded goal of its own, and then scored its third of the game on even strength to hold a 3-2 lead going into the second intermission. 

• Carson Asper scored his first of the season less than four minutes into the third period to tie the score at three.  

• Aurora scored three unanswered goals to take the victory, 6-3.
