COLMAR, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's ice hockey team fell to Neumann University, 7-3, on Friday night at Hatfield Ice Arena.
Kyle Peters, Brennan Luckanish and Halen Cookston all tallied their first collegiate goals for the Knights. Cam Parrott also led the Knights offense with two points after adding a pair of assists on the Knights final two goals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neumann tallied two goals in the first period, while outshooting the Knights 24-11. The visitors scored six minutes into the period and then tallied another goal with less than two minutes remaining in the period.
- Neumann added another pair of goals to open the second period, to make the score 4-0. The Knights then connected with their first tally of the night on a goal from Peters with 13 minutes remaining in the stanza. Peters scored on a short-handed attempt for his first collegiate goal. Neumann ended the period with another pair of goals to take a 6-1 lead into intermission.
- Arcadia outscored Neumann 2-1 in the final period. Luckanish scored the team's second tally with five minutes remaining, while Cookston added another goal moments later to shrink the team's deficit to 7-3. Parrott contributed assists on both scores, while Luckanish and Nathan Bottles also added points on the goals.
