STEVENS 1, ARCADIA 0 (F/2OT)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half was evenly contested as both sides had spells where they had the upper hand in attack. The Knights had the best chance of the half as Dan Tittelmayer put a shot just wide that hit the side netting of the goal.
- Arcadia once again had the best chance of the second half as Duncan O'Connor took a shot in the box that was heading towards the top corner, but the Stevens goalkeeper made a fantastic save to keep the match scoreless.
- Stevens was on top for the first overtime period as they had three shots on target within the opening four minutes.
- In the second overtime, O'Connor once again had a chance to score, but the Ducks cleared O'Connor's shot off the goal line to keep the score tied at zero. Stevens earned a free kick in its own half that they sent into the box, which eventually found the Ducks' Jay Poskitt who shot it past Varrato to send Stevens to the MAC Freedom Championship game.
