Women’s Swimming Suffers Setback to Messiah in Season’s First Home Meet

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's swimming team hosted its first meet of the 2021-22 season Saturday against Messiah, falling to the Falcons in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) dual meet, 153-109. Julia Stephens and Risa Krauss led the Knights on the afternoon with two individual victories each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Julia Stephens provided the Knights' first win by clocking a 1:02.16 in the 100-yd backstroke. Risa Krauss followed suit in the following event, winning the 100-yd breaststroke with a time of 1:09.27.

-Sarah Ritter earned valuable points for the Knights with a first-place finish in the 50-yd freestyle with a time of 26.14 before Stephens picked up her second win in the 100-yd freestyle (56.53). Krauss returned to win the 200-yd breaststroke by clocking a time of 2:31.79.
