Box Score ASTON, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team dropped its season opener, 64-60, to Neumann on Tuesday night. Neumann used a strong fourth quarter performance, outscoring Arcadia, 21-8, to come back for the victory.
Julia Makowski recorded a double-double in her season debut, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The senior guard shot 7-for-18 from the field, and also knocked down one of her three attempts from three point range.
Sidney Barrer also tallied a double-double for Arcadia, recording 11 points and 10 rebounds. Seven of Barrer's rebounds came on the offensive glass.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neumann scored the first six points of the game, before Arcadia got on the board with just under seven minutes remaining in the opening quarter. The Knights scored the next six points to tie the score at six. Scarlett Glasser-Nehls hit a jumper at the buzzer to give Arcadia a 12-11 lead after one quarter.
- Both teams found their groove offensively in the second quarter, as there were 43 combined points in the frame. Neumann went on a 14-2 run in the middle portion of the quarter to open a 23-16 lead. Arcadia closed the quarter on a 17-9 run, taking a 34-32 lead into halftime.
- Arcadia used that momentum in the third quarter, outscoring Neumann 18-11 in the stanza. Ally Zolty scored all six of her points in the quarter, hitting two threes in the final minute as Arcadia led 52-43 going into the fourth quarter.
- After Arcadia scored the first two points of the final quarter, Neumann used a 11-0 run to tie the game at 54. The teams would go back and forth until the game was tied at 60. Neumann scored the final four points of the game to take the victory.
