CHESTER, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team fell to Widener, 66-56 on Saturday afternoon inside the Schwartz Center. 
Senior guard Julia Makowski led the Knights with a season-high 23 points. She added 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. Senior Sydney Barrer was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the loss.  
WIDENER 66, ARCADIA 56 
HOW IT HAPPENED

After a back and forth start to the game, Arcadia took a 12-7 lead with less than three minutes left in the first quarter. Widener then took the lead through a 6-0 run, and the Pride held a 15-14 lead at the end of the opening frame.

The Knights began the second quarter on a 6-2 run. Arcadia would hold the lead for the rest of the stanza as it went into halftime with a 27-23 lead.

Widener controlled the third quarter as it outscored the Knights, 28-13 in the frame. The Pride led 51-40 going into the final quarter.

Arcadia cut the Widener lead to six halfway through the fourth quarter, but the Pride answered back with a 7-0 run to seal the win.
