CHESTER, Pa. – The Arcadia University field hockey team fell to Widener University, 5-2, on Wednesday night. 
Mickie March and 
Regan Sammons both tallied goals for the Knights, while 
Gracie Fenner made a game-high seven saves.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- March opened the scoring early in the first quarter with her third tally of the season. After having her first shot blocked, the senior kept battling for a rebound and found the back of the cage on her second attempt.
 
- The Knights held a one goal lead late into the first quarter, until the Pride connected on the equalizer with just over a minute remaining in the opening stanza. Widener controlled play for the majority of the second quarter – outshooting the Knights 7-1, while scoring three goals.
 
- Widener connected on its fifth unanswered goal early in the third quarter to take a commanding four goal lead, 5-1. Later in the quarter, Sammons got the goal back with her second tally of the season.
