GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team fell to Cabrini, 70-41 on Wednesday night inside Alumni Gymnasium.
Prior to the start of the game, the Knights recognized Martin Luther King Jr. Week of Celebration as Seraiah Nicole Frazier sang "Lift Every Voice and Sing." The women's basketball team wore special MLK Day warmup shirts and the athletic department put on halftime trivia about Martin Luther King Jr.
Mara Weaver led the Knights offensively with 10 points. Julia Makowski recorded her second consecutive game with double-digit rebounds as she finished the game with 10.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cavaliers went on two separate 6-0 runs to take the early advantage in the first quarter. Cabrini led 14-7 at the end of the opening frame.

Cabrini outscored the Knights 12-5 in the second quarter, as the Cavaliers used an 8-0 run to take a 26-12 lead into halftime.

Arcadia scored the first four points of the third quarter, but the Cavaliers answered with an 11-0 run. Cabrini won the quarter, 25-12, giving them a 51-24 lead going into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter was an even battle between the two teams as Cabrini held onto its lead to win the game.
