Women's Basketball Falls Late Against Lebanon Valley, 50-44

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team fell to Lebanon Valley College, 50-44, on Sunday afternoon. 

Julia Makowski and Mara Weaver led the Knights offense with 11 points, respectively. Weaver also added 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arcadia outscored the Dutchmen 10-6 in the opening quarter. Makowski and Scarlett Glasser-Nehls ended the opening stanza with buckets to put the Knights ahead by four points.

- The Knights started the second quarter on a 6-0 run to expand their lead to 10 points. Glasser-Nehls had four points during the run, while Sidney Barrer added a basket as the Knights held the Dutchmen scoreless in the opening five minutes. Lebanon Valley ended the half on a 9-2 run as Arcadia held on to a two-point lead heading into halftime, 20-18.

- Arcadia regained its double-digit lead with an 8-0 run to pull ahead by 10 points, 30-20. However, the Dutchmen answered with a 12-2 rally in the final six minutes of the quarter to even the score, 32-32. 

- Glasser-Nehls gave the Knights an early lead with a fast-break bucket to open the fourth quarter. The Dutchmen then answered with an 11-0 run as they took their first double-digit lead of the game, 44-34. Arcadia was able to bring the game within four points, but couldn't battle back from Lebanon Valley's late run.
