WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's ice hockey team picked up its fourth consecutive victory as it defeated Wilkes, 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Emily Wilson's third period goal was the difference maker for the Knights in the victory.
Wilson's game winning goal came with just over five minutes remaining in the third period as she broke the 1-1 deadlock.
Goaltender Sophia Szelag picked up her third consecutive victory between the pipes as she made 20 saves in the Knights win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The teams played a scoreless first period. The Knights registered 14 shots on goal but did not find the back of the net.

Morganne Dee scored the game's first goal with her team leading eighth goal of the season. The Knights held a 1-0 lead going into the second intermission.

Wilkes tied the game at one with a power play goal just over five minutes into the final period. 10 minutes later, Wilson scored the game winner to give the Knights the 2-1 win.
