WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's basketball team picked up a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom win over Wilkes, 68-62 on Sunday afternoon.
Scarlett Glasser-Nehls led the Knights on offense with 16 points. Three other Knights also scored in double-figures to pace Arcadia to the victory.
Arcadia outrebounded Wilkes 39-27 in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Knights scored the first eight points of the game. Wilkes scored the final six points of the quarter as Arcadia led 17-16 after one quarter.

Wilkes had its last lead of the game in the second quarter as the Colonels led 21-20. After that point the Knights went on a 15-5 run, including scoring the final eight points of the quarter to lead 35-26 going into halftime.

The Colonels began the second half on a 7-0 run to cut the Arcadia lead to 35-33. The Knights then answered back with a 9-2 run to open up a 44-35 lead. Arcadia led 53-46 at the end of the quarter.

Wilkes cut the Arcadia lead to two early in the fourth quarter, and eventually only trailed by two with 29 seconds left in the game, but the Knights hit four free throws down the stretch to win 68-62.
