Women's Swimming Secures First Win of the Season Over Albright

Glenside, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's swim team secured their first win of the 2022-23 season with a score of 187-55 over Middle Atlantic Competition (MAC) competition Albright College at Lenox Pool on Saturday afternoon. The Knights swam to several personal and season best times while also recording one of the fastest times in the MAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

- Mikayla Scardino (2:03.39) and Julia Stephens (2:03.87) finished half a second apart for first and second place in the 200-yard freestyle. Scardino started off the day recording a personal best time in this event. 

- Olivia Hyde touched the wall first and scored 9 points in the 100-yard butterfly with a season best time of 1:03.71.

- Scardino also put down the fastest 100-yard freestyle time in the MAC with a 54:88, dropping almost four seconds from her time one week ago against Misericordia.  

- Brooke Boyd touched the wall fourth for a personal best time of 59:84 in the 100-yard freestyle. 

- Stephens also took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.25. 

- Madison Desjardins dropped 15 seconds off her season best in the 1000-yard freestyle.

- Hannah Daniels swam to a personal best time of 5:57.26 in the 500-yard free for a 2nd place finish.

The Knights return to action on Saturday when they head to Messiah for a 1:00p.m. MAC meet.
