Grantham, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's swim team fell 176-86 to Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) competition Messiah University on Saturday afternoon. The Knights recorded multiple season best times and individual wins on the afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Mikayla Scardino touched the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle for a season best time of 25.18, one-tenth of a second faster than her previous best time against Scranton. She also recorded a season best time of 2:02.73 in the 200-yard freestyle (2nd place).

Julia Stephens earned the team 9 points with her first place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.15) only a second off of her personal best time from MACs last season. Stephens also put down a time of 1:01.84 in the 100-yard backstroke (2nd place).

Madelyn Meyer swam to three season bests times in the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.42), 200-yard backstroke (2:27.24), and the 200-yard individual medley (2:30.65). Meyer dropped less than a second off of both her 100 back and 200 individual medley times and 2 seconds off her 200 back time.

Katherine Pastva earned a season best time in the 1000-yard freestyle (11.49.92) for a 3rd place finish.

Brooke Boyd earned herself a season best time of 1:07.78 in the 100-yard butterfly, cutting one-tenth of a second off her time against Scranton.

Grace Brooks touched the wall third for a time of 2:18.20 in the 200-yard backstroke event, only a second over her season best time.

Claire Hamilton swam almost five seconds faster today than she did against Scranton in the 500-yard freestyle for a new season best time (5:46.01).
