Women's Ice Hockey Clinches Spot in UCHC Playoffs With 2-1 Win Over Lebanon Valley

COLMAR, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's ice hockey team secured a spot in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) playoffs in its inaugural season with a 2-1 win over Lebanon Valley on Friday night at Hatfield Ice Arena.  

The Knights took advantage of a late power play in the third period as Morganne Dee scored her second goal of the game with 2:21 left in the game.  

Dee's two goals in the game gives her 10 for the season. She is also tied for the team-lead in points with 15. Karahkwenhawe White also tallied her 15th point of the season with an assist on Dee's game-winning-goal.  

Hannah Bergeron got the start for the Knights in goal and made 28 saves. The victory is her fifth of the season.  

ARCADIA 2, LEBANON VALLEY 1 
HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • The Flying Dutchmen got on the board first as they scored an even strength goal in the first period. Lebanon Valley led 1-0 going into the first intermission.  

  • Dee scored her first goal of the game with 2:12 left in the second period to tie the game at one. Berklee Hibbard and Campbell Torrey got the assists on the game-tying-goal. 

  • Dee's game-winning-goal sealed the victory and the playoff spot for the Knights as they sealed the 2-1 win. White and Bridgit Terry tallied the assists on the goal.
