READING, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) match to Alvernia, 3-1, on Tuesday night in Reading.
Two Knights recorded a double-digit kill total as Kevin Abraham tallied 12 kills and Owen Heft had 11. Abraham had a .750 hitting percentage in the match. Anthony Devantier recorded his second highest kill total of the season with 34.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Alvernia 25, Arcadia 22
The set was tied at nine until Arcadia won five of the next seven points to take a 13-11 lead. Alvernia won the next four points to take the lead, but the Knights answered back with five unanswered to take an 18-15 lead. The Wolves took control of the set as they won eight of the final 10 points of the frame to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Alvernia 25, Arcadia 21
Arcadia had a one point lead, 12-11, but Alvernia took four consecutive points to take a 15-12 lead. The Knights got within two points of Alvernia after that point, but the Wolves held on to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Alvernia 20
The Knights held an early 8-3 advantage in the set. Alvernia battled back to get within one, 14-13, but Arcadia held on, winning four of the final five points to force the match to a fourth set.
Set 4: Alvernia 25, Arcadia 20
The teams traded points in the opening stages of the set, but the Wolves won five of six points to take a 16-12 lead. Alvernia held the lead through the late stages of the set to win the match, 3-1.
