GLENSIDE – The Arcadia University women's basketball team is set to open its run in the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Tournament on Wednesday evening, traveling to King's College for a 7:00 p.m. quarterfinal matchup.

Arcadia heads to the MAC Freedom tournament as the No. 6 seed after concluding its conference slate with a 7-9 record in league games. The Knights were defeated by King's in Wilkes-Barre on January 15th, 79-66, and fell to end the regular season by a 57-52 final on Saturday.
 
Julia Makowski leads Arcadia, averaging 14.7 points-per-game (ppg) and 7.0 rebounds-per-game (rpg), and 2.3 assists-per-game (apg).
 
Scarlett Glasser-Nehls sports averages of 8.5 ppg, 4.4 rpg, and 2.7 apg, while Mara Weaver is recording 8.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, and led the team with 32 made shots from beyond the arc for the Knights.
 
King's, the No. 3 seed with a conference record of 11-5, is coming off 57-52 win over the Knights on the final day of the regular season.
 
Emily Morano leads the Monarchs, averaging 19.5 ppg, 6.9 rpg, and 2.2 apg this year.
 
Samantha Rajza is averaging 18.5 ppg, 4.7 rpg, and 2.1 apg while Emily Kriston is at 9.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 4.4 apg for King's.
 
The winner will advance to the MAC Freedom semifinals on Friday, with the two highest remaining seeds to host at a time to-be-determined.
