Men's ice Hockey Beat by No. 8 Wilkes
COLMAR – The Arcadia University men's ice hockey team was beat by Wilkes University, the No. 8 team in the latest USCHO.com Division III National Poll, by a 7-0 final at Hatfield Ice in United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) action on Friday evening.
The Knights fell to 4-16-0 overall and 2-11-0 in league play while the Colonels are now 14-4-0 and 11-2-0.
The start to the game was sluggish, with neither team able to get much offense before Wilkes opened the scoring at 8:17 of the first period. The Colonels led 3-0 after the initial 20 minutes before scoring four times in the second and third periods.
Nathan Bottles led the Knight attack with four shots. Arcadia won 62 percent of the faceoffs (39-for-63) led by
Dylan Florit, who was 14-for-21 (67 percent).
Fletcher Bolda stopped 15 shots over the first 33 minutes before being replaced by
Jeb Lindy, who finished with 15 saves.
The Knights return to the ice tomorrow when they host King's College for a 3:30 p.m. UCHC contest at Hatfield Ice.
