READING, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's ice hockey team fell in overtime to Alvernia, 4-3 on Friday night. The back-and-forth game saw three ties and four lead changes.
The Knights forced overtime through a Brooklyn Hendrickson even strength goal with 25 seconds left in the third period.
Hendrickson and Karahwenhawe White recorded multi-point games for Arcadia as White scored twice and Hendrickson added an assist to her game-tying goal.
Sophia Szelag got the start between the pipes for the Knights and made 24 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Neither team found the back of the net in the opening 20 minutes.

White opened the scoring with her first tally of the game just over four minutes into the second period. Bridgit Terry recorded the lone assist on the goal. Alvernia tied the game on the power play later in the period to tie the game at one.

White scored her second goal of the game on the power play less than four minutes into the third period. Hendrickson recorded her first point of the game with an assist on the goal. The Wolves then scored the next two goals to take a 3-2 lead. Hendrickson tied the game at three with 25 seconds left in the game to force overtime.

With seconds left on the clock in overtime, Alvernia scored the game-winning goal to win 4-3.
